Bunbury is my home base and a city I know well. As the major centre of the South West, Bunbury offers couples a surprisingly diverse range of wedding venues, from waterfront sailing clubs and golf courses overlooking the estuary to rustic farm properties and lakeside retreats in the surrounding hills and valleys.
Whether you're planning an intimate ceremony on the foreshore, a grand reception at one of the city's premier hotels or a relaxed outdoor celebration in the Ferguson Valley, Bunbury and its surrounds have something for every couple.
My approach is natural and relaxed. No stiff poses, no awkward directions. Just genuine moments, beautiful light and photos you'll love looking back on for the rest of your lives. I've shot weddings at Waters Edge Bunbury and know the area and its light well. I'll help with your timeline, keep the day running smoothly and make sure you both feel completely at ease from start to finish.

Where permitted, I also use a drone to capture aerial photos of your wedding venue and surrounds. Bunbury's coastline, Koombana Bay, the estuary and the rolling hills of the Ferguson Valley look spectacular from the air. Drone use is subject to CASA regulations, location restrictions and property owner approval.

Koombana Bay Sailing Club is nestled on the pristine waters of Koombana Bay with a beachfront ceremony option, a jetty for photos, a large function room overlooking the water and an extensive lawn and outdoor bar area seating up to 250 guests. Bunbury Rowing Club is a popular waterfront venue with a gorgeous clubhouse overlooking the water and the Bunbury city skyline, offering a relaxed and affordable option for receptions of all sizes.
Hotel and Function Venues
The Parade Hotel is one of Bunbury's most iconic venues, offering multiple function spaces including a beer garden for up to 250 standing, a deck and a VIP room, with overnight accommodation available for the bridal party. The Old Lyric is a beautifully restored heritage venue in the heart of Bunbury, offering a unique and characterful setting for weddings, receptions and special events. Hotel Lord Forrest is an iconic hotel in the heart of Bunbury offering modern and classic elegance, 115 well-appointed guest rooms, an indoor pool and multiple function spaces for weddings and events of all sizes. Mantra Bunbury Lighthouse is a stylish hotel positioned metres from the iconic Bunbury Lighthouse with ocean views over the Leschenault Inlet and Koombana Bay, offering a range of function spaces for intimate weddings and events. Rose Hotel is one of Bunbury's most popular venues offering multiple function spaces including a large beer garden, alfresco areas and a warm, welcoming atmosphere in the heart of the city. Mercure Bunbury Sanctuary Golf Resort is Bunbury's premier golf course wedding venue, set on a picturesque 18-hole course with lake views, abundant birdlife, a traditional gazebo ceremony space and multiple reception options accommodating 30 to 500 guests.
Golf Course Venues
Bunbury Golf Club sits on the banks of the estuary with stunning views over the fairways and water, offering a classic clubhouse setting for ceremonies and receptions with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Capel Golf Club in Stratham features an 18-hole course with catering, function bookings and a relaxed country atmosphere, making it a great option for couples wanting something a little different just south of Bunbury.
Lakeside and Rural Venues
Evedon Lakeside Retreat is a beautiful lakeside retreat nestled in the rolling hills of Burekup, just 20 minutes from Bunbury. Set on 320 hectares of natural bushland, Evedon offers ceremony and reception spaces, on-site accommodation and a restaurant, with a maximum capacity of 150 guests. Edith Valley is a purpose-built function centre in Roelands, just 25 minutes from Bunbury, set on a privately-owned property overlooking a picturesque dam and lush rolling hills. Featuring high ceilings with exposed recycled timber beams, a custom-built wood fireplace and glass bi-fold doors opening onto a large veranda, it seats up to 120 for a sit-down reception or 200 for a cocktail event.
Ferguson Valley Venues
Ferguson Valley Escape is a stunning 12-acre retreat just 20 minutes from Bunbury, set among lush tropical gardens in the heart of the Ferguson Valley wine region. Saint Aidan Wines is a boutique family-owned vineyard, cellar door restaurant and events centre set on the banks of the Ferguson River in the Ferguson Valley, just 20 minutes from Bunbury. With sweeping lawns, beautiful gardens and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, it's an ideal venue for weddings and special celebrations in the heart of the Geographe wine region.
Racecourse Venues
Bunbury Turf Club is one of WA's leading provincial horse racing clubs set on acres of manicured lawns with shady trees in Carey Park, offering its grounds and function rooms for weddings and events all year round. Bunbury Trotting Club at Donaldson Park offers a unique and affordable function venue with Manea's Restaurant, spacious lawns and a relaxed atmosphere for weddings, parties and celebrations.
Travel Policy
Bunbury and the surrounding areas including the Ferguson Valley, Roelands, Burekup and Capel are within my standard coverage area and there is no travel fee for couples getting married there.
