Perth is one of Australia's most beautiful cities for a wedding, and the south of river suburbs offer some of the most varied and stunning venues in the state. From rustic farm properties on the city's edge to waterfront restaurants overlooking the Swan River and heritage buildings in the heart of the CBD, Perth has something for every couple.
I'm based in Bunbury and travel to Perth regularly for weddings. With no travel fee for south of river locations, I'm an affordable option for couples getting married in Perth, Baldivis, Rockingham, Serpentine, Oakford and the surrounding areas.
My approach is natural and relaxed. No stiff poses, no awkward directions. Just genuine moments, beautiful light and photos you'll love looking back on for the rest of your lives. I'll help with your timeline, keep the day running smoothly and make sure you both feel completely at ease from start to finish.
Where permitted, I also use a drone to capture aerial photos of your wedding venue and surrounds. The Swan River, Perth skyline and the sprawling farm properties south of the river look spectacular from the air. Drone use is subject to CASA regulations, location restrictions and property owner approval.

Perth and its southern suburbs are home to some of WA's most unique and diverse wedding venues. Here are some of the venues I'm available to shoot at:
Rustic and Farm Venues
King Road Brewing Co in Oldbury is a lively independent brewery built from recycled materials, featuring a repurposed cattle shed and hay shed for a completely relaxed, candid atmosphere. The Barn Hopeland is set on 25 acres of farmland just south of Baldivis, offering an affordable, country feel right on the edge of the metro area. Yoothamurra Homestead in Oakford is a large, active family farm with a renovated homestead, wide-open paddocks and a permanent marquee setup. Quarry Farm near Serpentine is a massive 200-acre property featuring a historic homestead, an old shearing shed, dams and paddocks. Mardella Meadows is a working farm turned private event venue south of Mundijong with rustic architecture, mature trees and roaming farm animals.
Garden and Outdoor Venues
Rose Social in Baldivis is a 7.5-acre property surrounded by ancient Tuart trees and rose gardens, operating as a completely DIY and BYO space. Country Charm Weddings is a secluded Baldivis farm property featuring a beautifully decorated barn, an open-sky ceremony space and a cosy fireplace area. Note: 2026 is their final operating year. Rothwood in Wattle Grove is a tranquil 5-acre property tucked into the foothills with lush gardens and bushland, dedicated to BYO and DIY setups.
Urban and Industrial Venues
Perth City Farm in East Perth is an industrial-chic urban farm featuring a warehouse barn with white-washed walls, terracotta floors and a large courtyard framed by gardens. Completely DIY and BYO.
Heritage and CBD Venues
Lamont's Bishops House is a heritage home nestled among city skyscrapers, combining a classic indoor dining setup with historic, manicured outdoor gardens. Perth Town Hall is a 150-year-old Victorian Gothic building featuring cathedral ceilings, polished jarrah floors and stained-glass windows for a grand, traditional feel. Kings Park offers multiple ceremony locations within one of the world's largest inner-city parks, with stunning views over the Perth CBD and Swan River. Crown Perth offers multiple function spaces for weddings of all sizes, from intimate celebrations to grand receptions. QT Perth is a boutique hotel in the heart of the CBD with multiple unique event spaces, rooftop views and a distinctly creative, design-led atmosphere. Old Tower House in Northbridge is a beautifully restored 1898 heritage building featuring Italianate architecture, jarrah floorboards and high ceilings, ideal for intimate ceremonies of up to 50 guests.
Waterfront and River Venues
Burswood on Swan is an outdoor venue positioned on the water's edge with direct views of the Perth skyline, ideal for cocktail style receptions under the stars. South of Perth Yacht Club offers multiple function spaces on the river shore overlooking the front lawn, river and Perth city, including a Promenade Marquee right on the waterfront. Nedlands Yacht Club sits on the foreshore of the Swan River in Nedlands with expansive grassy lawns, a secluded foreshore and stunning views of the Perth CBD skyline. Perth Flying Squadron Yacht Club in Dalkeith is a fully licensed yacht club on the Swan River with capacity for up to 600 guests, private jetties and panoramic river and city views. West Australian Rowing Club next to Barrack Square is one of Perth's best kept secrets, a heritage-listed floating boathouse with panoramic Swan River views and an intimate River Room seating up to 80 for dinner. The Boatshed Restaurant in South Perth is a classic riverfront venue with panoramic views of the Swan River and a warm, intimate interior. Matilda Bay Restaurant in Crawley offers stunning views over the Swan River, Kings Park and the Perth city skyline, with multiple function rooms accommodating from 20 to 250 guests. Matilda Bay Reserve is a grassy riverside reserve where couples can set up marquees or tipis alongside food trucks for a relaxed outdoor celebration. Perth Zoo in South Perth offers a truly unique wedding experience through its venue The Maali, set within the zoo grounds with stunning natural surroundings and capacity for up to 500 guests.
University and College Venues
St George's College in Crawley features heritage Victorian Gothic architecture, a heritage-listed Rose Garden and a quadrangle with a capacity of 200 guests. Available in summer months only. UWA offers several stunning venues including the Sunken Garden, Tropical Grove and the University Club, all set within one of Perth's most beautiful campuses.
Travel Policy
All venues listed on this page are within my standard coverage area and have no additional travel fee. A $150 travel fee applies for north of river Perth locations not listed here.
