A Wedding at Mandoon Estate, Lilly and Leon

Mandoon Estate in the Swan Valley is one of those venues that does everything well. Great food, beautiful grounds and a setting that makes wedding photography genuinely enjoyable. Lilly and Leon's May 2025 wedding was a brilliant example of why it's such a popular choice for Perth couples.

Getting Ready

The morning started on two fronts. Leon and his groomsmen got ready at home while Lilly prepared at Maya Maya at Mandoon Estate, one of the venue's standout spaces for bridal preparations. Having the bride get ready on site means less rushing and more time to capture those quiet moments before the ceremony begins.

The Ceremony and Portraits

May is a great time of year for a Swan Valley wedding. The heat of summer has passed, the light is softer and the grounds at Mandoon are at their best. Lilly and Leon were both nervous and excited on the day, that mix of emotions makes for genuine, natural photos, and it settled quickly once the ceremony got underway.

After the formalities we made the most of the estate for portraits. A good sunset topped things off nicely, giving us some beautiful golden light to work with before heading into the reception.

The Reception

With family and friends all together, the reception was exactly what a wedding reception should be, great food, good company and a relaxed atmosphere where everyone could enjoy the evening. Mandoon's reputation for food is well earned, and it showed on the night.
